Announcing Legion Hearts
My friends, it’s happening.
I’ve been itching to work on a small project for while now, and I thought I’d tackle the very first game concept I had when I was just getting started in the industry. As the saying goes: The fifth time’s the charm.
Some will recall this being “the project I’ve always kinda sorta worked on” and I’m excited to announce that development proper will start later this year. While the foundations that teenage me laid out way back in 2013 are a bit of a mess and there’s a lot to rip apart and put back together, the basic concept still fascinates me as much now as it did then.

So, what is it all about? Legion Hearts is an SRPG about preventing Ragnarok, a calamity event that resulted in the extinction of humanity. Set well after the world has already ended, the last living humans travel backwards in time to discover and undo the catalyst for their lost future, even if it means creating a world in which they never existed.
My goal with the game is to create a highly streamlined strategy game accessible to people who wouldn’t normally consider themselves fans of the genre, and ultimately create something that I would want to play myself. Plus, I just really want to try out writing something for a game – narrative design always interested me but I never had the opportunity to try it out in an actual project.
Pre-production has only just begun, and I’ll have more to share in due time (meaning in the distant future). If you wish to follow the development progress, consider checking out the website at legionhearts.com!

I would also like to thank everyone who graciously supported and encouraged me to do games for a living. I’m in a very good place in life and I certainly wouldn’t have made it this far if it wasn’t for you. (You know who you are!)
